THE RANCH TODAY

Rich in ranching heritage, the Silver Spur Ranch has operations in Wyoming, New Mexico and Colorado.  Today, the ranch is ranked as the ninth largest commercial cattle operation in the U.S. and is home to a progressive ranch / cutting horse operation and outfitting services.  The ranches are steeped with natural beauty and managers continually work as conservationists and land stewards.   It is our mission and challenge to raise cattle that will fit multiple ranch environments and ultimately provide a positive beef product for consumers.   read more

GENETIC PHILOSOPHY

In the large Silver Spur Ranches’ commercial cow herds we raise our own replacement females and annually feed as many as several thousand head in commercial feedyards.  This production process lends to our genetic philosophy….. “We strive to produce low to moderate maintenance cattle that can be profitable in each segment of the beef industry.”  read more
